Wet, Wet, Wet!! - Tues 12th June 2007

A full day at Niagara Falls. We got ourselves a Visitor Passport for the day. That got us free Trolley Rides all day, entry to the IMAX Cinema, entry to the Discovery Museum, entry to the Aquarium, a trip on the Maid of the Mist to the base of the Falls, and a visit to the Cave of the Winds at the base of the Falls, both of which provided a useful recce for the planned barrel trip in the afternoon. The first picture shows Jenny at the Cave of Winds waiting for first sight of the Barrel, and the second shows a wet Clive after exiting the Barrel!!! Not true - we chickened out, only because the guide said there is a $20,000 fine for anyone who falls in. Nobody has survived to pay it yet :-)

In all seriousness though it was a really enjoyable day out in beautiful weather - too hot if anything.

Tonight we are staying in Lockport which is to the East of Niagara, and tomorrow we are hoping to go on a museum trip to explore the history of the Erie Canal.
